The gold medal with a special commendation from the jury went to
Vladimir Leko from Pleternica, eastern Croatia for his anti-
diabetes products. He also won a special award from the Hungarian
alliance of innovators.
The Geneva event, taking place between April 4 and 8, features 530
exhibitors from 45 countries who presented 984 innovations.
The Croatian Alliance of Innovators presented 14 works by members
from Kanfanar, Rijeka, Pula, Zagreb, Pleternica, and Osijek. This
year's innovations were selected on the basis of commercial
potential for some 40,000 businessmen who visited the salon.
In Croatia the innovations were selected in cooperation with a
special commission of the Crafts, Small and Medium-Sized
Businesses Ministry, which covered part of the costs for
participating in the salon.
Besides praise from a jury comprised of 55 experts from ten
countries, the Croatian innovators also realised a series of
business contacts.
