ZAGREB, April 6 (Hina) - A project of re-classification of 450 Croatian hotels, which is being implemented by the Spanish marketing company THR in cooperation with the Croatian Tourism Ministry, should be completed by the end of the
peak tourist season. Croatian hotels must be re-classified so that the level of quality of their services could be adjusted faster to European standards accepted in most tourist countries, which will strengthen Croatia's position on the world tourist market, Tourism Minister Pave Zupan Ruskovic told a news conference. She added that the old classification regulations were too strict, so that a very small number of hotels had three, four or five stars. The future new classification standards will include unannounced visits by inspections which will visit hotels at least once a year and 'add' or 'take off' stars depending on the quality of services.(hina) sb rml
