ZAGREB ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) - The comedy "My Sweet Little Village" by the Czech film and theatre director, actor and writer Jiri Menzel opened an event called The Week of Czech Film at Zagreb's Kinoteka cinema on Tuesday night. The
event, which is dedicated to Menzel's work, will last until April 9. Apart from his most important films, the Czech Oscar-winner will also present his theatre and literary work. Menzel, who attended last night's showing, said he wished other, more recent Czech films, which were "worth seeing", to be shown during the event. The retrospective will also include his Oscar-winning film "Closely Watched Trains". On Saturday, April 7, the Oscar-nominee film "We Must Help Each Other" by Jan Hrebejk will be shown at Kinoteka.
