PRESIDENT MESIC ATTENDS "PLITVICE '90" ROUND TABLE

PLITVICE LAKES, March 30 (Hina) - Speaking about political, military and other circumstances preceding the "Plitvice '90" police liberation operation whose tenth anniversary will be marked Saturday, Croatian President Stipe Mesic said everything (the 1990'2 war) was planned and prepared by (former Yugoslav President) Slobodan Milosevic and the then Yugoslavia. A round-table conference was held at the Plitvice Lakes national park Friday focusing on the operation. Blood was sought in Croatia and after Pakrac, blood was supposed to be shed in Plitvice, Mesic said. This was an extraordinary police operation and should be treated as such, he stressed. The round-table was organised by the committee for marking this anniversary, appointed by President Mesic.
