ZAGREB, March 25 (Hina) - Croatian-Belgian citizen James Capau has
succumbed to wounds yesterday afternoon after having spent several
days in hospital following a shooting in downtown Zagreb.

Zagreb police spokesman Goran Volarevic said Sunday.
Vjeko Slisko and James Capau were seriously wounded in a shooting
which took place in Zagreb's Preradoviceva and Varsavska streets at
2.45 pm last Thursday.
Capau approached Slisko from behind, fired several shots at him and
ran from the scene. Security guards from a nearby bank caught Capau
and held him at gun point when Slisko's bodyguard, Ivica Bertic,
arrived and fired one bullet in the head of his boss's assassin.
Bertic is still at large and a warrant for his arrest has been
issued.
Having gathered sufficient relevant evidence and information,
"police have now got a clear picture of the entire event," the
spokesman said, but refused to speak of details of the incident
until Bertic is apprehended.
At yesterday's meeting, Interior Minister Sime Lucin, police
director Ranko Ostojic and crime police commissioner Dragutin
Cesar agreed to mobilise additional police forces for more
extensive security measures in Zagreb, Volarevic reported.
He confirmed that deputy Zagreb Police Administration commissioner
Zdravko Senicnjak, has been sent on vacation, pending a referral to
new duties, at the request of the police director. The spokesman did
not state the reasons for Senicnjak's replacement.
