ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - Croatia's Culture Minister Antun Vujic on Friday received a well-known Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, who arrived in Zagreb at an invitation of his Croatian publisher. After their talks, Kadare told
reporters that he and Vujic shared the opinion on a role which culture might play in defusing the situation in the region. Culture in the Balkans has played both a good and a bad role, Kadare asserted. Therefore all of us who are engaged in culture should have enough courage to admit it and try correct mistakes. I am very happy about my visit to Croatia as in this country the process of the emancipation of culture is on the right path. This sets an example for the entire peninsula (Balkans), he added. Minister Vujic expressed satisfaction with the meeting and talks with this renowned man-of-letters who arrived in Zagreb from Paris.(hina) ms
