SISAK, March 9 (Hina) - A student of the first class at a secondary school in Sisak (some 50 kilometres south-east of Zagreb), fired a shot from a M-48 gun at another student at about 12.10 pm Friday during the lessons. The wounded
boy sustained serious injuries to his left upper arm, and was taken to a local hospital. The teacher in the classroom, Snjezana Matic, was lightly hurt by fragments of the bullet. The police did not make public the initials of the student-attacker. According to unofficial reports, the boy M.J. (aged 14 ) entered the classroom at about 12.10 pm and fired a shot at the boy R.B. (14), who was standing in front of the blackboard. After that M.J kept the present pupils and the teacher hostage for some 20 minutes.
