BELGRADE, March 6 (Hina) - Serbian Vice Premier Nebojsa Covic on Tuesday said that the cooperation between Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was not the question of will but an
obligation which had to be respected and was directly related to the future of the country and people. At a news conference in Belgrade Covic pointed to the great danger of ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte proposing the introduction of sanctions against Yugoslavia, should the country fail to cooperate with the Tribunal. He stressed that March 31 was not D-Day but warned this was the day when the United States Congress should decide about assistance to or sanctions against Yugoslavia, which was why the FRY should pass a law on the cooperation with the ICTY by that day.(hina) it sb
