Croatia has placed EUR500 million worth of bonds on the European
market under thus far the most favourable conditions: a ten-year
period, a 6.75 percent annual interest rate, and a 157 basic points
swap spread. The placement was arranged by Deutsche Bank and JP
Morgan.
A road show presentation for investors was organised last week in
Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt, London, Milan, and Amsterdam.
The euro-bond placement, as well as a recent $215 million one on the
Japanese market, are primarily intended to pay Croatia's old,
unfavourable loans with cheaper incurred debts.
Croatia's last placement on euro-bonds was held last March, on a
five-year period and a seven percent annual interest rate.
