ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - The Interior Ministry said in a statement on Saturday it "guarantees and will guarantee the right of all citizens to stage peaceful protests and public assembly, in line with the Constitution of the Republic of
Croatia." The statement was issued in connection with ongoing protests against an arrest warrant issued for Mirko Norac, a retired general suspected of war crimes against Croatian Serb civilians. "Given the frequency of public assembly and protests in the last few days, which obstruct free and safe traffic on several roads, (the ministry) will take all legal measures to ensure safe and undisturbed road traffic and protect people and property," said the statement.
