ZAGREB, Feb 6 (Hina) - President Stjepan Mesic on Tuesday received Croatia's European Integration Minister Ivan Jakovcic and chief negotiator with the European Union on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), Neven Mimica.
Mimica informed Mesic of the developments in the negotiations on the SAA, and expressed conviction that the talks with EU officials on this matter would be completed by the beginning of this summer. He added that the negotiations did not present the most difficult part in the process of Croatia's admission in the Union, and called on all relevant Croatian bodies to intensify their efforts to create conditions for the country's accession in the EU. Minister Jakovcic notified President Mesic of the work of his ministry which is celebrating its first anniversary this month. The Ministry is currently employing 79 highly educated people. The Croatian head of state expressed full support to the Ministry,
adding that Croatia's admission into the EU was not only its
