BANJA LUKA/MOSTAR, Jan 27 (Hina) - In an open letter to senior Croatian officials, Banja Luka bishop Franjo Komarica appealed for more assistance in the return of Bosnian Croats to pre-war homes, inviting them to take part in a return
round table next Tuesday. In the letter, Msgr. Komarica says that in 2000, Croatia did not do much for the return of Bosnian Croat refugees who wanted to return from Croatia to their pre-war homes in the Bosnian Serb entity. Komarica appealed for more funds from the Croatian state budget for Bosnian Croat returns, reminding that according to church data, only 1,322 of 70,000 displaced Croats had returned to the Banja Luka region in the Bosnian Serb entity, and that a mere 2,500 of over 200,000 from north-western Bosnia and the Bosanska Posavina regions had returned to pre-war homes.
