ZAGREB, Jan 25 (Hina) - A technical working group in charge of the adjustment of Croatian legislation with European Union rules has concluded that after signing a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) Croatia will need some
five years to adjust laws referring to public procurement with the relevant European Union legislation, Croatia's European Integration Ministry, said in a statement on Thursday. The working group, led by Deputy European Integration Minister Agata Racan, has the task to give opinions on each of some 30 sectors on which Croatia and the European Union are going to negotiate. The negotiations on each sector will commence after the signing of the SAA, which is likely to happen in the mid-2001. The area of the public procurement is one of elements of Acquis Communautaire, pertaining to the Union's internal market. To do this job within the time term, it is necessary to train
