The two were detained and put on trial in Ancona. According to Italian daily Messagero of Saturday, prosecutor Christina Tedeschini turned down an offer for settlement put forward by defence attorney Marta Balestra, asserting the punishment of 20 months in prison and eight-million-lire fines would be too mild.
