GOVERNMENT ISSUES STATEMENT FROM CLOSED-DOOR SESSION

ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - At Thursday's closed-door session, chaired by Prime Minister Ivica Racan, the government adopted the draft of a final bill of amendments to the Labour Law, the government's Media and Public Relations Service said in a statement. The government also adopted a conclusion in connection with a decision by Bosnia's Croat-Muslim federation prohibiting the entity from importing animals or animal product originating from Croatia. The Foreign Ministry was bound to find a solution with the Bosnian side and point to the federation's non-compliance with a Croatia-Bosnia free trade agreement and possible consequences. The government also decided that state attorney Petar Sale was performing his duty in an unsatisfactory manner, based on the non-adoption of a report on the work of the State Attorney's Office in 1999. Zvonko Sakic was relieved of duty as Finance Ministry secretary and was replaced by Goranka Bulj. The government also appointed members on an internetisation council. Zeljko Kupresak was appointed national coordinator for the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, replacing Vladimir Drobnjak.
