ZAGREB, Jan 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Association for the Protection of Customers (HUZP) has protested against the fact that Croatian Telekom will charge the listing of dialled phone numbers to accompany phone bills and demands that the
price of listings be included in the price of phone impulses and that such bills be sent to all customers without their having to submit special requests or pay for them. A statement issued by the HUZP says the association is being contacted by an increasing number of customers who want to know why HT wants to charge what is an integral part of telephone subscription. ZAGREB, Jan 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Association for the Protection
of Customers (HUZP) has protested against the fact that Croatian
Telekom will charge the listing of dialled phone numbers to
accompany phone bills and demands that the price of listings be
included in the price of phone impulses and that such bills be sent
to all customers without their having to submit special requests or
pay for them.
A statement issued by the HUZP says the association is being
contacted by an increasing number of customers who want to know why
HT wants to charge what is an integral part of telephone
subscription.
The association also protests HT's request that customers
interested in a detailed listing of numbers they dialled should
submit such requests in person, producing their personal documents
and the latest paid phone bill. This, the association believes,
will cause queues in front of HT stands.
The association also believes that HT's claim that citizens should
submit requests in person for the sake of confidentiality is not
correct, as HT will continue to send phone bills with detailed
number listings via ordinary post, which does not guarantee
confidentiality.
