ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - The Croatian Bosniak cultural society
"Preporod" on Friday most harshly condemned the crime against the
Andjelic family committed in the village of Kostajnica near Konjic,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, on Christmas Eve. #L#
The society said that, although the circumstances of or motives for
the crime were still unknown, there was no justification for it.
The society distanced itself from the alleged extremist motives for
the crime, and stressed that individuals with such motives did not
belong to the Bosniak corps, nor did they share its values, goals or
aspirations.
On Christmas Eve, 25-year-old Muamer Topalovic killed three
members of the Andjelic family from the Herzegovina village of
Kostajnica. He said that the murder was motivated by religious
reasons.
"We are particularly shocked at the fact that the crime was
committed in the eve of Christmas, and at a time when great efforts
are made to have Bosnia integrated as a state of three equal and
constituent peoples and free citizens," the society said.
