The programme, called SPECTRA, will be implemented in assistance
centres, which are to be established in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and
Osijek.
The centres will provide all information on support programmes,
available rights and possibilities in the process of looking for a
new job or changing one's career.
Under a programme of re-organisation of the Defence Ministry, the
number of full-time employees will be reduced by 12,000 by spring.
The SPECTRA includes solutions for surplus labour ranging from
keeping employees in the active reserves component to their
retirement.
Under the programme, state institutions will provide assistance in
the search for new jobs.
The process of reducing the number of the Defence Ministry
personnel will end in 2005.
