HNS has decided to actively contribute because it wants Croatia to
affirm itself as a country of European standards, Pusic said at a
press conference in Drage near Biograd. As she said, it is possible
to attain consensus with other political parties regarding access
to the EU.
Pusic said that next year was an election year and the main task
ahead was for Croatia to prepare itself to access the Union.
She considered the Pope's announced visit as positive. "This is
very significant for us and can only be assessed as positive because
the Pope's arrival includes the symbolism that it carries with
itself, and that is the idea of human rights and equality, which is
something we are aspire for," she said.
