Tuesday signed a programme for bilateral cultural cooperation in
the next three years. #L#
The two ministers held talks in Pesc on the organisation of a month
of Hungarian culture in Croatia and of Croatian culture in
Hungary.
According to a statement issued by Croatia's culture ministry,
Vujic and Georgey advocated the compilation of Hungarian-Croatian
and Croatian-Hungarian dictionaries and the translation of the two
countries' literary works.
They agreed on the set-up of a co-ordinating body of four countries
- Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Italy (which compose the
Quadrilateral Group) - whose task would be to cover cultural events
in said countries and be a bridge between their cultures.
In Pesc, Vujic also met representatives of local ethnic Croats and
discussed their position. He told them the Croat minority in
Hungary would continue enjoying the support of his ministry.
This meeting was held in the "August Senoa" Croatian club, which
marks its 20th anniversary.
