With a time of 34.32 seconds, Kostelic nerrowly bettered the time of
Italian Giorgio Rocca.
Truls Ove Karlsen of Norway finished third in 34.57 seconds.
The event, introduced by the International Ski Federation (FIS)
this season, involved two knockout rounds where skiers raced head-
to-head against the clock.
