ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The secretary-general of the Association of
European Airlines (AEA), Urlich Schulte-Strathaus, and director-
general of the Croatian national carrier Croatia Airlines (CTN),
Ivan Misetic, on Wednesday discussed CTN's business and the
Croatian system of civil aviation. #L#
Croatia Airlines reported that the two discussed relations with
competent aviation and state institutions, the current situation
in civil aviation and aircraft industry, as well as the general
security situation.
Misetic and Schulte-Strathaus also spoke about the "Open Sky
Agreement", and about the accompanying infrastructure needed for
the future development of the aircraft industry in Europe.
Airline carriers, members of the AEA, have been working for years on
drawing up a joint policy founded on a unified European market,
harmonising technical requests, infrastructure and a joint foreign
policy. They believe that the protection of the environment,
competitiveness and more efficient legal regulations needed to be
elaborated.
