MOSTAR, Dec 2 (Hina) - The chairwoman of the European Union
parliament's commission for Southeast Europe, Doris Pack, has
accused the international community of not having sufficient
understanding for the rights of Bosnian Croats, as cited in an
interview by a Mostar daily on Monday. #L#
"In the Bosnian Federation, Bosniaks (Muslims) are almost a general
majority, while Croats are reduced to a minority and have less
rights since they are fewer in numbers. Attempts to preserve their
cultural identity have failed because the international community
does not have sufficient understanding for this," Pack told the
"Dnevni list" daily.
She stressed that it was an indisputable fact that Serbs had
received more territory than they had had before, and that they had
transformed "the so-called Republika Srpska" into a real republic
with a status similar to that of a state.
