This was told to reporters during a session at which members of the
HDZ main committee analysed the political situation in the country
and decided on the party's financial status.
The committee requests that the government initiate a discussion
before the UN about unfounded claims in the tribunal's indictments
which change historical facts and state untruths about the Croatian
Homeland Defence War, which are unacceptable to Croatia.
The HDZ opposes the extradition of Croatian generals to The Hague on
the basis of superior command responsibility.
When political conditions in the parliament are met, MPs should
again move for changes to the Constitutional Law on cooperation
with the Hague tribunal, in such a way as to have the state's
judiciary determine the foundation and justification of
indictments, HDZ officials states.
