MOSTAR/SIROKI BRIJEG, Nov 30 (Hina) - The chairman of the Croatian

the organisation of the country being cantonisation. #L#
"If the Serbs have Republika Srpska, why would not the Croats have
their own entity as well and why is that considered nationalism?,"
Tomac said at the presentation of the book "The Enigma of Bosnia-
Herzegovina" by Bozo Zepic, a professor at Mostar University.
Tomac is the consulting editor of the book which advocates the idea
of the stabilising effect of the third entity on Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Participants in the presentation were read a letter by a recently
elected Croat member of the state presidency, Dragan Covic, who
wrote that "nothing in Bosnia-Herzegovina has been settled for
good".
Addressing the gathered, Tomac expressed regret at lack of
awareness in Croatia about the difficult position of Croats in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, which he said was the most important national
issue.
"If Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina do not solve the national issue,
the entire Croat people and the state will be jeopardised," Tomac
said. He believes that the former HDZ authorities made a mistake by
attempting to govern Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina, while the new
authorities have made a mistake by distancing themselves from
Bosnian Croats.
