BELGRADE, Nov 14 (Hina) - The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) bench
in the Serbian parliament on Thursday moved that the parliament and
the Yugoslav government adopt a decision urging all relevant
international institutions to see that Slobodan Milosevic is
released from custody so that he may undergo treatment in
Yugoslavia. #L#
Party whip Zarko Obradovic said that the proposal should be
discussed at a parliament session on Tuesday.
The Council of Republics of the Yugoslav parliament has adopted a
declaration moved by the Opposition (SPS, Vojislav Seselj's
Radicals, Mirjana Markovic's Yugoslav Left, and the Montenegrin
Socialist People's Party) which urges the International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague to release
Milosevic so that he could undergo medical treatment in Yugoslavia.
However, the declaration will not be adopted in the federal
parliament because its Council of Citizens on Wednesday refused to
put the proposal on the agenda.
