Wednesday. Present at the exhumation were representatives of the International Commission and the commissions for missing persons from Croatia, Yugoslavia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
SLAVONSKI BROD, Nov 13 (Hina) - The exhumation of the remains of 42
unidentified persons from Bosnia-Herzegovina and those found in
the Sava River or along its bank started at the Slavonski Brod city
cemetery on Wednesday. Present at the exhumation were
representatives of the International Commission and the
commissions for missing persons from Croatia, Yugoslavia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina. #L#
Along with the beginning of the exhumation process, also held in
Slavonski Brod was a meeting of representatives of the Yugoslav
Commission for Humanitarian Issues and Missing Persons and the
Croatian Government's Office for Missing and Detained Persons,
which discussed the upcoming exhumations in Yugoslavia, where
Croatia is still searching for more than 150 persons.
The Yugoslav commission head, Maksim Korac, said he brought to the
meeting a complete documentation for the region between the
boundary from Belgrade to the area of Mali Zvornik. The
documentation includes 55 files.
Slavonski Brod was also the venue for a joint meeting with
representatives of the Bosnian commission.
According to announcements, the exhumation at the Slavonski Brod
city cemetery will last until Friday. The entire process is
conducted by the County Court and the County State Prosecution in
this eastern Croatian town.
