ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - A member of the parliament, Ljubo Cesic Rojs, on Wednesday failed to show up at the trial of retired generals Vladimir Zagorac and Matko Kakarigi, and three other indictees accused of economic crime and the
embezzlement of some 12 million kuna (1.6 million euros) of Defence Ministry funds.
ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - A member of the parliament, Ljubo Cesic
Rojs, on Wednesday failed to show up at the trial of retired
generals Vladimir Zagorac and Matko Kakarigi, and three other
indictees accused of economic crime and the embezzlement of some 12
million kuna (1.6 million euros) of Defence Ministry funds. #L#
As witness Cesic Rojs failed to provide any valid justification for
his non-appearance, he will have to pay fines totalling 5,000 kuna
(approximately 670 euros), said the president of the panel of
judges, Drazen Tripalo.
A secretary to Cesic's lawyer conveyed his excuse.
Cesic Rojs was the defence minister's assistant for resources
management at the time when the crimes from the indictment took
place.
