Friday. #L#
The event, which is being held under the auspices of the Norwegian
Foreign Ministry, commenced with "Savr{en Krug" (unofficial
translation "The Perfect Circle") by Bosnian director Ademir
Kenovic, at the Culture and Information Centre (KIC).
The festival will feature a score of movies and documentaries with
war and post-war topics, made recently in Croatia, Bosnia-
Herzegovina and Serbia.
The event has been organised by the Osijek-based "Nansen Dijalog
Centar" (NDC), a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, in
cooperation with Nansen Dijalog centres from Bosnia and Serbia, the
Norwegian Film Institute and the Oslo-based International Peace
Studies Institute.
Sarajevo and Banja Luka were the venues for this festival in late
October and early November respectively.
After Zagreb, the event will move to Osijek and Belgrade and the
tour will wrap up in Mostar.
Opening the event, Norwegian Ambassador to Croatia, Knut Toraasen,
expressed hope that this festival would set an example for other
countries.
