The cistern was transporting 26,000 litres of crude oil for the INA
oil company. According to the report, the oil is still leaking from
the cistern, but is congealing due to humidity and low
temperatures. Fire-fighters have strewn the ground with substances
dissolving oil, the report reads.
The driver of the privately-owned cistern was not injured in the
accident.
Traffic on the state road number 43 Djurdjevac-Bjelovar is
proceeding in both directions alternately on one lane while trucks
are directed to the Babotok-Virje road.
Water inspectors have declared the level one water pollution alert
because the accident happened in the vicinity of the Hutova canal.
