The society's president, Jure Knezovic, told reporters on Tuesday
that changes to the code envisaged a ban on displaying the symbols
of defeated ideologies and the sanctioning of attempts to,
conditionally speaking, rehabilitate them or judge them
positively.
This refers to fascism and Nazism, while communism has been exempt
with the argument that it had never been proclaimed a criminal
ideology, Knezovic said, stressing that communist parties in
Bulgaria and Lithuania had been proclaimed criminal
organisations.
He also said that there was no danger of Nazism or fascism in
Croatia.
