ZAGREB: 29TH INT. FURNITURE, INTERIOR DESIGN FAIR 'AMBIENTA' OPENS

ZAGREB, Oct 16 (Hina) - The 29th International Furniture, Interior Decoration and Supporting Industry Fair, "Ambienta", was opened at the Zagreb Fair on Wednesday, with 604 participants from 27 countries. #L# Opening "Ambienta", parliament president Zlatko Tomcic said the industry, businessmen, experts, legislators and the executive authority had a common obligation, to permanently and persistently look for optimal solutions for the use of natural resources, knowledge, and human potential. Besides the exhibits, this year's edition of "Ambienta" features a series of supporting seminars, including the Business Club, the traditional meeting of businessmen from the wood-processing industry and government representatives. This year's Business Club focuses on the economic and structural problems in industrial wood- processing in Croatia. "Ambienta", which closes on Oct. 20, will also include an expert seminar on energetics in the wood and timber industry, and an international conference, "Furniture, Man, Design". (hina) ha sb
