The police refused to confirm to reporters that Decak had been
interviewed. During a visit to Slavonia's village of Darda which he
visited as the president of the Croatian Hunters Society, Decak
told reporters that he had indeed spoken to the police.
"I was asked about my knowledge of events in Paulin Dvor, and since I
was appointed commanding officer of the then Osijek Operative Zone
one year after the case, I could give no information about any
measures undertaken at that time," Decak told reporters.
