The French company is planning to start the production of aluminium
castings for the auto industry in the plant, large 7,273 square
metre. About 80 workers should be employed at the beginning, but
when the production reaches its full capacity, the company would
employ 150 workers.
The decision on manufacture would render the French company yet
another user of the Djuro Djakovic Free Zone, so they signed a pre-
contract on entering the zone and functioning under these
conditions, Djuro Djakovic said on a statement on Friday.
By entering the free zone, the French company may use privileges
such as being exempt from paying profit tax for the coming ten
years, as well as enjoy other benefits, the Croatian holding said.
The company's representatives said that the necessary
documentation could start being drafted in the end of this year, as
well as the adaptation of the production area. The transfer of
technology and the training of employees are scheduled for
beginning of the next year.
