ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - As of the beginning of its winter flight
schedule on October 27, Croatia Airlines, will begin implementing a
new tariff system for domestic flights with individual transport
prices lower by 13 to 35 percent. #L#
The most favourable price is 80 kuna (without airport fees and VAT)
for flights from Zagreb to Pula and Zadar, and 100 kuna for flights
from Zagreb to Split and Dubrovnik. Airport fees are 50 and 55 kuna
plus Value Added Tax, so the cheapest flight price is 158.6 kuna.
The Croatian national flag carrier's representatives told a news
conference Friday that the new system envisaged nine tariff models.
Every flight offers a certain number of seats in price classes, and
the higher the price of the ticket, the less restrictions there will
be.
The representatives said each domestic flight would be with at
least ten seats secured for the cheapest tariff, but with several
restrictions -- changes to ticket reservations or refunds will not
be allowed, there will be no waiting list or awarded miles, and the
ticked must be bought 72 hours after being booked at the latest.
For example, a flight from Zagreb to Split may cost from 100 to 420
kuna (without fees and VAT) as it costs in economy class, without
any restrictions.
In the first nine months of this year, Croatia Airlines has
transported three percent more passengers than in the same period
last year (1.05 million), with a visible stagnation in domestic
flights, but an increase in the number of passengers on
international flights.
