During the forty-minute talks there was reference to the state in
the region, Croatia's views on relations with neighbouring
countries and its drawing closer to the European Union and NATO as
well as cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for
the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
The Dutch head of diplomacy paid particular respect to Mesic for the
attitudes he represents in view of the functioning of the rule-of-
law as well as the individualisation of guilt.
