Prka has been admitted to a Zagreb hospital where he is receiving
treatment.
The director of the hospital, Miran Martinac, told Hina that Prka,
aged 44, had sustained several blows to the head, probably with a
wooden bat. His left hand bone was broken and he was under stress
when admitted, Martinac said.
Zagreb police, mentioning only Prka's initials, said the two
assailants had attacked Prka around 8:30 hours Monday morning on
the ground floor of his apartment building while he was leaving for
work.
One of the assailants sprayed Prka with pepper spray, while the
other hit him on the head and hand, using what is believed to have
been a wooden bat.
The police are continuing their investigation to discover and
arrest the assailants, as well as establish the motives for the
attack.
