A statement issued on Friday by HDZ Toronto says that this branch
does not want to be a part of undemocratic processes which are being
planned at the level of HDZ's coordinating body in Canada.
Their wish, the statement continues, is to continue promoting and
realising ideas by the late Croatian president Franjo Tudjman.
HDZ Toronto says it does not accept any leadership distancing
itself or doubting in the innocence or heroics of Croatian Homeland
War soldiers and generals Mirko Norac, Ante Gotovina and the
remaining forcefully retired generals, as well as those in Bosnia
who are unfoundedly detained in the Hague's prisons.
The branch also does not accept the leadership of a party distancing
itself from acts by the late defence minister Gojko Susak, whom it
considers one of the most responsible people for the creation of the
Croatian state.
