Analyses indicate that the fortress itself is somewhat to the south
of the excavation site, which is important information for
estimating exact borders of the ancient city.
Archaeological exploration is also being carried out on the south
side of the city square, where scientists are expecting to find
information about a Roman colony, Marsonia.
The archaeological excavations at the city's central square are
also the start of the square's complete reconstruction into which
city authorities will invest about 13 million kuna.
