The arrest was carried out as part of the global struggle against
terrorism, spokesman Drew Anderson said, pointing out that
extremists and criminals would not be able to hide in Kosovo.
Anderson did not reveal the names or any details about the
arestees.
In Pristina on Sunday, UN Mission police and KFOR arrested former
Kosovo Liberation Army commander Rustem Mustafa, who is suspected
of being responsible for the torture and unlawful detention of at
least five unnamed persons.
On Saturday and Sunday, KFOR searched several Albanian villages in
Srbica municipality, confiscating a certain amount of weaponry.
UN Mission police stated today they had arrested Tahir Deska, ex-
president of the Albanian Society of Kosovo Writers. Details of his
arrest have not been disclosed.
