Contractors told Cacic, representatives of parliament, Croatian
Roads, local officials, and reporters that works on the 12.45 km
section were proceeding according to plan.
Cacic said works on the Sveti Rok-Maslenica section were also
underway, and that works had begun on a part of the section after a
standstill due to a dispute over land ownership.
Croatia will incur a EUR1.6 billion debt at home or abroad for the
Zagreb-Split motorway, said Cacic. Thus far EUR622 has been
secured, he stated, adding that the government was firmly convinced
that construction deadlines would be respected.
