Thus they retained the champion's title as they were the best two
years ago at the Junior Championships in Chile.
On Saturday, Ivana Brkljacic, the hammer-thrower, had the result of
65.39 metres. Slovakia's Martina Danisova (63.91) and Russia's
Yuliya Rozenfeld (60.83) won the silver and bronze medals.
In the women's high jump competition, Blanka Vlasic jumped over
1.96 metres. The silver and bronze medals were won by Anna Ksok of
Poland (1.87) and Petrina Price of Australia (1.87)
