The contract on the use of the CMFI off set programme was signed by
Croatia Airlines director Ivan Misetic and CFMI's marketing and
sales director Jean Pierre Vernon and industrial corporations
director Gerard Levine.
The signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of the
Saint Jean Industries and "Djuro Djakovic", the Croatian Economy
Ministry, and the French Embassy.
The contract enables the creation of 100-200 new jobs in the free
trade zone in Slavonski Brod.
Croatia Airlines and CFMI started co-operating in 1997, by signing
their first contract on the equipment of Airbus planes, which
Croatia Airlines started buying in 1998, with CFMI engines. Under
the new contract, if it continues renewing its fleet, Croatia
Airlines will continue equipping its planes with CFMI engines.
