for international studies in Zagreb in cooperation with the "Friedrich Ebert Stiftung" Foundation.
DUBROVNIK, July 1 (hina) - An international seminar called "The
European Union, NATO and Southeast Europe" started on the southern
Adriatic island of Sipan on Monday. The seminar was organised by
Croatia's Atlantic Council, the centre for international studies
in Zagreb in cooperation with the "Friedrich Ebert Stiftung"

The present discussed the security situation in the region,
transitional issues, ethnic relations in the south-east of Europe
and possibilities for economic development and cooperation.
Croatian parliament vice president Zdravko Tomac is expected to
speak at the seminar. Croatian Deputy Defence Minister Zlatko
Galjeric is also expected to attend the seminar.
About 30 representatives of Southeastern European countries,
including many ambassadors and representatives of international
bodies are participating in the seminar. The seminar will close on
July 5.
