MINISTER OPENS NEW FERRY QUAY ON VIS ISLAND

VIS, June 30 (Hina) - Public Works, Reconstruction and Construction Minister Radimir Cacic opened a renovated and extended ferry quay in the town port of the island of Vis on Sunday. #L# The 91m-long quay can tie up all ships and ferries sailing on the Adriatic. The works cost 13.5 million kuna (EUR1.85 million), of which 8.5 million was invested by the reconstruction ministry and one million by the Split-Dalmatia County Port Authority. Minister Cacic said that 50 percent of all reconstruction investments this year was intended for Vis. Works are nearing completion on the island's water supply and sewerage systems. (hina) ha
