BATINJANI, May 24 (Hina) - US Ambassador to Croatia, Lawrence G. Rossin, opened a recently reconstructed primary school in Batinjani, in Djulovac municipality near Daruvar. The reconstruction of the school cost US$110,000.

Rossin, opened a recently reconstructed primary school in
Batinjani, in Djulovac municipality near Daruvar. The

The school was reconstructed within a project implemented by the US
Agency for International Development (USAID), with the assistance
of the US Army Europe Command in Stuttgart. The school will be
attended by 12 students.
USAID has also earmarked funds to supply equipment and furniture
while the Croatian Ministry of Reconstruction and Public Works
financed reconstruction designs.
Ambassador Rossin said that an agreement signed with Djulovac
municipality included various other projects, intended to
reconstruct the infrastructure destroyed in the war or needing
repair for any other reason.
