Istria County issued a concession to a fishing cooperative from
Umag, and it will continue doing so in the future, Jakovcic said on
Brijuni Island.
The Slovene Foreign Ministry handed a protest note to the Croatian
Embassy in Ljubljana on Thursday claiming that the expansion of
shell growing areas in the middle of Piran Bay violated the
Agreement on Border Traffic and Cooperation.
Slovene media have said that Croats never before grew shells in the
bay, but by setting the equipment, they would change the situation
in the bay.
Jakovcic called on "all Slovene friends to be reasonably, because
such economic projects cannot harm anybody, but contribute to
economic development".
