ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - The IntesaBci Italian group offered about EUR30 million for 25 percent plus one share of the Privredna Banka Zagreb (PBZ), which the government considers too small of an amount, so the State Agency for Securing
Savings Investments and Bank Rehabilitation (DAB) will once again speak with representatives of PBZ's largest shareholder, government sources reported Friday.

As part of privatisation plans for this year, the government
intends to sell a part of the state's shares in the PBZ, one of
Croatia's largest banks. According to some earlier unofficial
announcements, the government expects about EUR100 million for the
PBZ's 25 percent of shares.
If the negotiations with the DAB and the Italian group do not
succeed, it is possible that the shares be offered to pension funds,
sources say.
