RIJEKA COUNTY PROSECUTION EXTENDS PROBE INTO RIJECKA BANKA AFFAIR

RIJEKA, May 20 (Hina) - The Rijeka County Prosecution has extended an investigation into the "Rijecka banka affair" following the establishment of new facts concerning the amount of money two former bank employees, Snjezana Podobnik and Mirta Vlah, are suspected of embezzling, Rijeka County Prosecutor Drago Marincel said on Monday. #L# A former bank stockjobber, Eduard Nodilo, and Podobnik and Vlah, who managed the bank's foreign currency funds, are under investigation on suspicion of having caused damage worth USD98 million to Rijecka Banka through illegal dealings.
