"Croats in Croatia and Bosnia are two branches of the same tree, but
sometimes it looks like we from Bosnia are forgotten by those in
Croatia, and we cannot deny our joint religion and culture," said
Archbishop Puljic who served mass in Rukavac which was attended by
many displaced persons from Bosnia.
Puljic said that Bosnian Croats accepted the establishment of the
Croatian state as a foothold, but that the enthusiasm from the
beginning has faded. "That is why I want to encourage you," he
said.
Archbishop Puljic said the Church had often been criticised for
dealing with politics. "The Church must deal with its people and
roots," he said.
